This opening was done after the addition was built to keep the existing house protected. We created the island to transition the rooms.
Breakfast Room: This addition was added as a breakfast room. The architecture matches the existing perfectly. The railings were added with easings. The deck is curved.
Addition: My customers wanted a three function room, home theater, fireplace sitting area and dining room. I love light and openness, so I surrounded the room with french doors in order to connect you with the back yard, outdoor bluestone patio and motarless fireplace
Bay Addition. These customers wanted to add on to their kitchen. The problem was the driveway curved into the yard to the garage. So I designed a bay addition and built a diagonal deck to mirror this theme. Works perfectly and they loved it.
Bay Addition: This addition was originally planned by a designer. I was able to add another foot and a half by down sizing the stairwell window. I also added a bay to tie in with the existing architecture and give the room greater dimension and charm. We were able to remove the exterior wall and integrate the two rooms, making them seem more like one. We had to support the building to remove some of the decayed and fatiqued posts and beams in order to replace them with steel I beams.
Three function room: I wanted to soften the rectangular feeling of the room. So I added arches to the fireplace mantel and the entertainment center to achieve this.Type your paragraph here.
